Health Promotion

Promoting balance and well-being through cultural teachings, active living, and community connection.

Health is more than physical — our program nurtures the mind, body, spirit, and emotions through Indigenous knowledge and inclusive, community-focused wellness initiatives.

At Misiway, we believe health goes beyond the physical. Our Health Promotion program is rooted in an Indigenous worldview that recognizes the importance of balance across the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of life. Through culturally relevant programming and community-driven initiatives, we empower individuals and families to take part in healthy, meaningful activities that support overall well-being.

From nutrition and fitness to cultural connection and knowledge sharing, our services are designed to meet people where they are and support wellness across all stages of life. Programming is open to individuals of all ages and encourages participation in a welcoming and supportive environment.

  • Active living initiatives (e.g., walking groups, fitness sessions)
